Day 1: Hometown to Chengdu Take a flight to Chengdu. Cross the International Date Line. Day 2: Arrival in Chengdu Arrive in Chengdu (via Shanghai or Beijing). Meet your tour guide at the airport. Transfer to your deluxe hotel for a good night’s rest. Day 3: Chengdu to Shangri-La Visit the Giant Panda Research Base. Explore Tufu’s Cottage and Wuhou Temple. Experience Chengdu’s tea culture at a local tea house. Fly to Shangri-la in the evening. Day 4: Shangri-La Exploration Morning: Visit Ganden Songzanlin Monastery (largest in Shangri-la). Excursion to Bita Lake, the most attractive lake in the region. After lunch, visit a Tibetan family and taste local specialties. Free time in the afternoon. Day 5: Shangri-La to Lijiang Morning: Coach to Lijiang. En route, stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge and the First Bend of Yangtze River. Arrive in Lijiang, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Explore the ancient cobblestone streets and enjoy traditional Naxi Music Performance in the evening. Day 6: Jade Dragon Mountain & Baisha Village Explore the mythical Jade Dragon Mountain. Board chair lifts for stunning views of the Thirteen Peaks. Visit the ancient Baisha Village and admire the Baisha Frescoes. Enjoy free time in the evening. Day 7: Lijiang to Dali Morning: Tour the Black Dragon Pond. Coach travel to Dali, home of the Bai Minority Group. Experience local life in a Bai Minority Village and taste Three Courses Tea. Visit the iconic Three Elegant Pagodas. Fly to Chongqing in the evening and board the deluxe Yangtze River cruise ship.
